Here is a non-exhaustive guide to the 2010 sailing season. It does not include all the high school and college events, club meetings, fleet events, work parties or social events. For more information see the complete calendar.

 

February

Winter Series, starting Sunday, February 14, all fleets start at 1 p.m. Racing every Sunday through March 28.

March

Winter Series, continues, all fleets start at 1 p.m. Racing every Sunday through March 28.

April

Opening Day, Sunday, April 18, Lasers at 1:00, fleets at 3:00. Not just the first races of Spring Series, but a celebration of Corinthian sport, family fun, food and drink. Make sure your fleet is there. We will have actual trophies for the top finishers in your fleet, but only if you actually have a fleet there! Don't miss this.

Spring Series Continues, from April 19 & 21, Lasers on Mondays, other fleets on Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. starts, through May 24.

Lido 14 Portland Turtle Regatta A Lido 14 spring regatta at WSC, May 8-9. Contact Ron Runyan for details.

June

Summer Series I begins, Tuesday, June 1 and Wednesday June 2, and continues Mondays (Lasers) and Wednesdays (fleets) through July 12. (Lasers moved to Tuesday on June 1 due to Memorial Day)

WSC Open House, Saturday, June 19 We will be running notices and ads in several publications, inviting the public to our club for refreshments and free boat rides. Each fleet should send one or two boats to give people rides. This is one of the best opportunities of the year to show people how great our club is. Invite your friends and co-workers.

Vancouver Lake Youth Regatta, Friday and Saturday, June 26 & 27. Sponsored by WSC and hosted by the Vancouver Lake Sailing Club, this youth regatta is our Northwest Youth Racing Circuit regatta.

July

Summer Series II begins, Monday, July 19, and Wednesday, July 21, and continues Mondays (Lasers) and Wednesdays (fleets), 6:30 pm starts, through August 30.

Al Morris Regatta, Saturday and Sunday, July 31 & August 1. Our big annual regatta at Yale Lake.

August

Summer Series II continues Mondays (Lasers) and Wednesdays (fleets), 6:30 pm starts, through August 30.

September

Fall Series, begins September 12, and continues Sundays, Lasers at 1 p.m., fleets at 3 p.m., through October 24.

November

Annual Banquet, Saturday, November 6. Location to be announced. Not just racing awards, but an evening to celebrate everything WSC.

Wild Turkey Regatta, Saturday, November 20. A potluck and/or novelty races, depending on the weather, with a special prize.
