Thistle Fleet Champs
Thistle Fleet Championship Formula
Proposed, discussed, amended, and approved at the November 2004 Fleet #125 Thistle Fleet Meeting
High score wins.
The calculation will be made based using the results of the WSC Spring, Summer 1, and Summer 2 weeknight series and best one regatta score from any NW traveling regatta (regatta must be included in the PNW traveling trophy calculations) OR a TCA chevron event. The same skipper must sail at least 50% of the races in a given WSC series for the series score to be counted in the Fleet Championship standings.
Scoring:
A maximum of 15 points are available in each of the three WSC series. Points are awarded as follows; (1st place – 15 points, 2nd place – 14 points, etc.). In the event there are more than 15 boats registered in a series, all boats will get a minimum of 1 point.
Points for the regatta are awarded as follows (1st – 10 points, 2nd – 9 points, 3rd – 8 points, 10 and below – 1 point) with your top regatta score kept. The places are including all boats in the regatta, so it is likely there will be gaps in the scores. Every boat gets a minimum of 1 point for attending.
Ties: In the event of a tie, the skipper with the highest combined WSC series score will win the tie. If a tie still results, the tie will be broken using the best series finishes (most number of firsts, seconds, thirds, etc.).
Total points possible: 15 points for each of the three series and 10 points for a regatta = 55
