Fundraiser for Oregon Youth Sailing Foundation (OYSF), Spring Cleaning for You!

Sunday, March 8th: 11am – 4pm @ WSC

Hot dogs, chips and soft drinks for all.

Do you have extra sailing clothing, gear or equipment that you’re no longer using?

Do you need sailing gear for yourself or your fast growing kid?

Did somebody steal all your winter sailing gear out of your car?

Do you want to support OYSF while cleaning out your garage and eating free hot/not dogs?

WSC and OYSF will be hosting a swap meet at WSC on Sunday, March 8th.

Come to shop and/or sell from 11am until 4pm.

All proceeds go to OYSF in support of WSC’s Sustainable Sailing Campaign for junior fleet replacement.

Do you have gear to sell?

1. You can donate it to OYSF for sale. OYSF will deal with unsold items.

2. You can sell your items and get paid, with 20% (OR MORE IF YOU CHOOSE!) of the sale going to OYSF. 

*We will set up a single point of payment. Cash, checks and credit cards (probably not any crypto currencies) accepted. You label your items for sale, we will take all payments and pay you back your share. Easy peasy.

What kind of items are we interested in:

*New or used sailing gear in functional condition

*Boat parts and hardware that you think somebody might want.

*If it’s big, make a catchy looking flyer to post inside.  

*Other good quality outdoor sports gear if you think somebody would want to buy it.

How to deliver items:

1. Items for sale may be dropped off in the club’s sailing classroom starting March 1st. A marked box/area and label stickers will be there.

2. Bring your items on Sunday morning between 9 and 11am to label and display them.

3. If you have more volume than fits in a few grocery bags, please contact organizers to plan for where to put items.

4. LABEL EVERY ITEM with suggested price and seller’s name. If items turn up without labels, they will be assumed to be donations.

5. Label stickers will be available in the sailing classroom drop off site and at the sale.

VOLUNTEERS PLEASE! We need a few volunteers to help wrangle the event. Help with organizing sellers, buyers, taking payments, bartending, hot dog burning on the BBQ.
