Benefits to Joining WSC

As a member of Willamette Sailing Club you’ll be able to use the facilities, take part in all club social events and racing, and keep your boat on the Willamette River for easy use (subject to moorage fees). Sailing club members also receive a discount on sailing lessons through our Learn to Sail program.

Types of Membership

Youth: Individual membership for anyone 7 – 17 years of age. $384 per year*
Midshipman: Individual membership for anyone 18 – 30 years of age. $384 per year*
Regular: Adult individual or family membership. $768 per year*
Senior: A regular member who has been with the club for at least 5 years and is at least 65 years of age. $384 per year*
Inactive: A regular member in good standing who because of business, health or other reasons is unable to regularly use the club facilities. $264 per year*

* Membership fees can be paid in monthly installments

Joining WSC

To join Willamette Sailing Club, fill out the Membership Application (note: see updated prices for 2023 on this page). For Regular, Midshipman and Senior Membership, return the application, along with the initiation fee, to our Club Manager (Manager@WillametteSailingClub.com). The manager will present your application to the Board of Directors, who will then vote on approving your application (Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month). Once the Board approves your application, you can be sworn in at the next club meeting. Youth Members can return their application to the Program Director (Director@WillametteSailingClub.com).

Moorage

Moorage refers to all boat storage (dock, lot, rack, and wet) at Willamette Sailing Club. Moorage is available to members or guests from recognized clubs as specified in the Moorage Rules and Regulations, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that all boats over 20 feet need to be approved by the Board of Directors.

The current monthly moorage fees are as follows;

Dock Moorage $72.00
Lot Storage $60.00 (over 18′ is $82.00/mo)
Metal Rack Storage (Ramp/Dock) $30
Wet Moorage $4.53/ft.
Wooden Kayak/Canoe Rack $25.00
